Yusuf Islam – The Beloved

My favourite track from his album An Other Cup, a song for the Prophet . In my opinion the album version works slightly better thanks to the soaring background vocals of Youssou N’Dour praising the names of the Prophet  but the vocalist Brother Yusuf has here is a more than capable replacement.

Mesut Kurtis – Qasida Burda

A beautiful and well known modern version of the burda, especially for the occasion of the birth of the Prophet .
